Stevan has 40+ years of practical leadership experience, at all levels, in the military, private, not-for-profit, and profit-for-purpose sectors.

Stevan’s working life started underground on a Nottinghamshire coal face, before joining the Royal Navy as a junior rating and rising to the rank of Captain during a range of demanding jobs at sea, ashore and abroad, including Command. He gained significant experience and skill in planning and delivering medical support to UK national and multi-national (NATO) maritime and amphibious (Commando) forces conducting combat and other operations worldwide. His book on Clinical Leadership was launched by the Princess Royal in 2015 and he has taught Leadership, Operations Management and Project Management to MBA students in Leeds & Worcester universities for over 5 years. Stevan has led expeditions to climb the hardest routes on the world’s highest mountains and is a published author on team selection for such challenges.  Stevan now uses his knowledge, skills and experience to help high-performing business leaders to become better leaders, make better decision and get better results.  He has been married to Paula, a former Naval Nurse, for over 40 years and they have 2 children and 2 very little grandchildren. Steve played winning rugby in the front row for RN teams and is interested in clay shooting, reading, writing, wine tasting and keeping fit. http://vistage.co.uk/chairs/stevanjackson820
