Fundraise for Life+Limb

Help us to raise funds and deliver Life+Limb saving training across the globe.

Together, we can save lives.

If you're a doctor – whether experienced or in training – you're welcome to add PTC to your essential skills by attending our courses. In fact, all health professionals are welcome, including nurses, paramedics and first responders in the emergency services. Or, help us with our mission by fundraising, becoming an instructor, or organising a course.

Uniform free day

Often referred to as a 'mufti' day, a uniform-free day is an excellent opportunity to raise funds at school or allow your office to unwind with a casual dress code. Opting for fancy dress instead of the standard attire can boost your fundraising efforts even further.

Nature Walks

Select a scenic path and walk to support our wonderful charity. Whether you don a Where’s Wally costume and stroll through your local mall or trek from John O’Groats to Lands’ End, you’ll be boosting your fitness while generating crucial funds for Life+Limb.

Give it UP!

Looking for a boost to start your health journey? Consider having people sponsor you to give something up! Over the years, supporters have raised funds by giving up items such as chips, television, alcohol, chocolate, meat, and smoking.

Bake Sale

Everyone enjoys cake, and it's a consistently popular choice for fundraising. Whether you're hosting the event at your workplace, school, or home, make sure to inquire about any dietary restrictions and people's favourite flavours. A bit of variety and consideration will help you garner more donations.

Quiz Night

The pub, village hall, neighbourhood sports center, and even your friend's backyard are perfect spots for hosting a quiz night. You can easily find full sets of quiz questions online. You act as the host while guests pay to participate.

Pancake Day

We don't care what you call it, just as long as you flip pancakes for us. Whether you want to compete with a frying pan or get sponsored for how many pancakes you can eat, it's all good with us 😉

Football Match

Even if you don't hit the back of the net, this is one game where you'll definitely make an impact in 90 minutes. If your group is smaller, consider playing a 5-a-side match. Generate funds by setting a player fee and invite spectators to donate for a chance to join a penalty shootout.

Running

Raise funds through running! No formal event required—it's all about you and your personal challenge. Pick your route and distance, then invite friends and family to sponsor your effort. Where will your run lead you?

Swim

Whether you're diving into open water or swimming laps at your local pool, a swimming challenge is an excellent way to support Life+Limb.

Cycling

Hopping on your bike and racking up the miles is an excellent way to explore the great outdoors while significantly contributing to the training that PTCF provides globally.

Fancy-Dress dAy

It's an excellent method for fundraising year-round. If you're in charge, consider having your team dress up in costumes and contribute a small donation for participating. Pro tip: let your co-workers vote on the costume you'll wear for the day!

Girls Night In

Gather your girlfriends. It's easy—just invite them over and suggest contributing the amount they'd typically spend on a night out to support our life-saving training.

Car Wash

Consider offering to wash your neighbours' cars or organising a car wash event in the school playground (with the school's permission). Pick a beautiful, sunny day, and you'll likely have a line of cars waiting for a wash, helping you raise important funds.

Celebrations

If you're marking a wedding, birthday, anniversary, or another significant milestone, consider contributing to a good cause by requesting donations to Life+Limb in place of traditional gifts.

in Memory

Consider raising vital funds for Life+Limb in lieu of receiving flower donations in memory of your loved one. This heartfelt gesture not only honours their memory but also establishes a lasting legacy in their name.

Our Top Fundraising Tips

Do something that you know or feel comfortable with

If you're a runner, consider participating in a sponsored race. If baking is your thing, why not host a coffee and cake event? Remember, don't stress too much—this is all about having fun.

Create a team to fundraise with you

Whether it’s with your best friend, your colleagues, or both, you can divide the planning and double the fun.

Set up a fundraising page on Just Giving

Choose Primary Trauma Care Foundation as your charity and all funds will be sent directly to us.

Matched giving and food donations

Whether you're fundraising at work or on your own time, inquire with your employer about matched giving. Many of our fundraisers have successfully doubled their contributions thanks to employer matches, so don't hesitate to ask. Additionally, local supermarkets frequently match funds or donate food for events.

Corporate Giving

Most companies now require an ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) framework and set of standards particularly showing how they may impact society.

Contributing to PTC training is probably one of the most impactful ways to help societies - few other organisations can train 40-50 people; cascade that to wider society; and contribute to significantly reducing death and disability from injury so increasing the GDP of that community for just £5,000-10,000.

Why not consider The Primary Trauma Care Foundation as your charity of the year?

“We saved a patient’s life by using the PTC systematic approach”
We recently saved a young lady who was hit by a car. She presented in shock. Chest trauma. Liver injury. Splenic injury. We saved her life by using the PTC systematic approach.

“The PTC course is used for saving people’s lives”
The PTC course is used for saving people’s lives. Trauma is a massive problem in Haiti, in fact across the world. Why don’t you partner with us, so we can run more courses and save more lives?
