Laura Hoemeke

PTCF Ambassador

Laura Hoemeke, DrPH, MPH, is a global health consultant and adjunct professor, University of North Carolina (UNC) Gillings School of Global Public Health.  She is a member of the board of directors of the Global Alliance for Surgical, Obstetric, Trauma and Anaesthesia Care (G4 Alliance) and the principal of Hoemeke Global, Ltd., providing technical assistance in health policy, advocacy, and communications to ministries of health, governments, multilateral institutions, and foundations. She serves as a consultant to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID, and several international NGOs and organizations, providing technical assistance in maternal, new-born, and child health, primary health care, and health systems strengthening.

She has worked and lived throughout Africa.  Laura received her BS in journalism at Northwestern University, her MPH at the Johns Hopkins University, and her doctorate in health policy and management at UNC.
