Emergency Medicine is my field of interest and currently has the responsibility of being the Head of Emergency Department of National Referral Hospital-Solomon islands. Solomon Islands being a marine time island nation, poses its challenge to get to appropriate medical help in time. PTC is a tool to buy time by recognizing and initiate early intervention especially by those health workers out in the rural remote islands. So far we have been able to provide the principles of PTC to some of these health workers and we are hoping to get more involved.

I Did the PTC 2 days course in 2002 (Lae-PNG) and the 1 day PTC Instructors Course in 2006 (Melbourne-Australia), instructed in PTC 2 days course in 2007 (Port Moresby-PNG), 2008 (Nukualofa-Tonga), 2009 (Lautoka-Fiji during the Regional meeting). Coordinated and instructed PTC in Solomon Islands since 2008.
